AVP - Guest Services

 

Aircraft Commerce Recruitment has been instructed by our client, a large and successful airline in Asia, to find an Assistant Vice President of Guest Services. The main function of this role is to ensure the smooth running of all Airport Operations within a specified region and you must be a graduate with at least 20 years aviation experience. The position reports into the Vice President Ground Services.

 

You will be required to build up a planned structure of the Guest Services Department to support the future growth, presenting operational needs and formulating procedures that are effective and successful. You will have sole charge of continuously reviewing and evaluating these procedures on an ongoing basis, ensuring all work procedures and statutory requirements are followed.

 

You will monitor and improvise upon On Time Performance: Compile MIS reports and initiate action plans accordingly. It will be imperative in the role to keep abreast of all developments and opportunities in the market place so as to project future requirements for manpower, infrastructure and fund requirements and coordinate with external agencies for various clearances for functional requirements and with other heads for support / changes required for smooth functioning.

 

Internally, training staff and being responsible for all training content and manuals will be the responsibility of the successful candidate, as will conducting preparedness exercises with the managers for emergency handling and leading and guiding Airport Managers for effective administration at airports. You will maintain high morale of the airport managers and staff reflecting on the station performance.

 

You will also be responsible for negotiating and finalizing ground handling contracts and ensuring the agreed upon service levels are followed so as to protect the financial interests of the company. You will also prepare and coordinate department operational and capital cost budgets and build the skills and knowledge of your staff to ensure the continued success for the department.
