General Manager Europe - Middle East
Aircraft Commerce Recruitment is pleased to announce that we have been instructed by our client to recruit a General Manager for Europe at a well established and exciting commercial airline in the Middle East.
The airline is expanding rapidly and the successful candidate will be part of that process by maximising revenue and profit generation in the assigned countries and ensuring the client's image of high quality and professionalism is enhanced in the aforementioned countries, whilst meeting all legal and governmental regualtions.
Your responsibilities will include achieving the client's marketing goals and service levels, achieved by coaching and leading the Country Managers, preparing marketing and business plans and allocating resources effectively to achieve the marketing and service goals.
You will have experience of devising, implementing, operating and maintaining campaigns and other marketing strategies to maximise uplifted passengers.
With the exciting growth forecast for the airline, you will be proactive in suggesting new routes and presenting your ideas to the management. Analysing results effectively and making sound recommendations to the management is also a huge part of the role.
Internally you will keep the costs of operation under control, whilst not compromising on the quality/image of the airline. Within your department all staff would have objectives set by yourself and it will be your responsibility to ensure those objectives are met or exceeded. Motivation and rewarding staff for good performance will be important as will a clear development program for all personnel.
The client has specified a University degree and Business Qualifications are considered advantageous. 10 years airline experience including 5 years at Management level with at least 5 years proven experience in a similar role for a reputable airline or associated business.
The successful candidate will have extremely strong negotiating skills with a real energy and dynamism and a strong outgoing personality. You will need to really hit the ground running and be a self starter with proven leadership qualities in abundance.
