VP Flight Operations - Large Asian Airline
Aircraft Commerce Recruitment has been retained by our client, a large Asian carrier, to find a Vice President Flight Operations to support their exciting expansion plans over the next few years. This is a truly excellent role with a forward thinking and progressive carrier whereby you will have overall responsibility of ensuring safe, efficient, economic and effective operations of our client’s fleet. You will define strategic and operational goals for the Department and provide the necessary direction to attain these goals and also be responsible for the overall administration of the whole Operations Department.
The minimum requirements our client has specified are as follows:

Minimum of 10,000 T/T with experience on the A330 / A320 or ATR aircraft with 15 + flying experience.

Minimum of 10 years management experience with excellent people management skills

Computer literate, particularly MS Office

Superb communication skills both written and oral.
You will work closely with the VP Flight Operations Training in developing, planning, implementing and monitoring our client’s Operations Policy and ensuring that the flying operations comply with all governmental regulations and company operating standards. You will play an active part in assessing, selecting and appointing all flight operations management personnel, monitoring performance and planning mid and long term training programs for those individuals under your control, both in management and flight crew.
It will be imperative you maintain current knowledge of rules and regulations, policies and procedures for the operations of the aircraft and ensure that they satisfy all regulatory requirements. Cost effectiveness is a vital aspect of the role, and you will need to have good experience in reviewing and evaluating all operating costs of departments to ensure minimum costs is achieved within the total divisional needs and take corrective action where necessary. The Flight Operations Department, under your leadership, will need to operate efficiently to achieve our clients’ commercial plan without compromising safety in any way. You will be responsible for the budget of the Flight Operations Department and keep up to date with statistical data concerning Flight Operations.
