He was responsible for leading the Customer Reference program within Honeywell and worked across all strategic business groups within Marketing Communication function. John has been with Honeywell since 2011, when he joined the Marketing Communications team in Basingstoke, UK. His career has included assignments in Engineering, Marketing & Product Management and also includes connected aircraft and aerospace trading responsibilities.

Prior to Honeywell, John has worked for Hunting Engineering, Rockwell Collins and AVX Corporation, heading up their European Marketing teams. John also holds private and commercial pilot licenses and has professional qualifications in Business Management, Finance and Marketing gained at the Thames Valley University in the UK.

André de Chauvigny de Blot was born in Amsterdam, on 12 December 1959.  He graduated from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, with a Bachelor in Aviation studies.

After Graduation, André joined Martinair Holland in 1985 where he began his carreer as a flight engineer on the DC-10 from 1985 until 1989. He worked as flight engineer on the B747-200 from 1989 until 2008.

During this time he served several positions.

Manuel Fernandes is based in Mumbai, India. He graduated in Accounting from Mumbai University in 1995 and wanted to become a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) but somehow ended up in the IT field. Manuel joined Silverline Technologies Ltd., Mumbai in 1995 as a Trainee and initially worked on Banking related projects.

In 2001, Manuel joined Hexaware Technologies Canada Ltd., Montreal and was assigned as a Senior Developer to maintenance an existing legacy MRO application for a large Canadian airline. He worked for 13 years on various enhancement and process improvement projects for them until 2014, when the legacy MRO system was replaced by a new gen MRO Product.

He moved back to India in 2014 and since then has been leading Hexaware’s offshore MRO division as a MRO Practice Lead. Manuel is glad to be part of the complex and challenging world of the Airlines MRO and has never regretted his decision to get into the IT field.
On a personal front, Manuel loves to visit places and is very fond of spicy food! His family consists of his wife, who is a home-maker, and his 10-year-old son who is in Grade 5. His dream in life is to build a big house in his native Goa and settle there after retirement.

He has flown for American Airlines/US Airways for 31 years; he has FAA type ratings on the DC-9, B-737, A320, and A330 aircraft.  He began his flying career with the US Navy as a carrier based pilot flying the A-7E Corsair II; he instructed in the Navy TA-4J Skyhawk, and was a Check Airman on the B-737.

Captain McCarthy was a member of the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) National Airspace Modernization Committee, participating in industry workgroups developing ADS-B enabled applications for the US Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen).  At US Airways, he assisted in the introduction of EFB ADS-B (In/Out) NextGen applications on US Airways A330 aircraft.

He is currently the Airbus A320/A330 representative on the Allied Pilots Association (APA) National Training Committee, and a PHL based A320 Captain.

The ‘Digital Operations’ program of work has seen the team introduce EFB’s on board the fleet, implement an ‘Operations’ wide portal for day to day Crew Communications, including mobile capability, and the introduction of Cabin Devices. The team are working on the introducing e-Sign and Maintenance Mobility within the Engineering Function.

Having been with easyJet for 6 years, he is currently working to deliver a number of innovative projects within Engineering and Maintenance, but is key to the airlines AMOS upgrade and, along with it, implementing Electronic Signatures for Aircraft Maintenance.

Captain Tighe is the Deputy Chairman of the Allied Pilots Association’s (APA) Training Committee, which represents the pilots of American Airlines (AA) in a wide variety of training issues, and is also responsible for coordinating the integration of the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) into AA cockpits.

Captain Tighe started his flying career in the US military and continued it as a Reservist until 2010.  He has flown a variety of aircraft and has been involved with the development of cyber plans and security Department of Defense.

He started with American Airlines in 1988 as a Boeing 727 Flight Engineer. He then moved on to the Airbus A-300-600R where he spent 19 years flying as First Officer, Captain, Check Airman and as a FAA Aircrew Program Designee. After American retired the A-300 Captain Tighe transitioned to flying international routes as on Boeing 767 and 757.

Freek Tromp is founder and Managing Director of Equistor, a company focused on execution of strategic initiatives and based in Amsterdam. Many companies devote significant attention and resources to defining and developing initiatives however Freek found they still struggle to successfully implement these initiatives because they lack structure for defining, planning and monitoring execution. His solution is a program management approach to deliver initiatives on-time and maximise value creation. 

Prior to Equistor, he started his professional life at Stork – an industrial service provider – where he worked for the strategic business development team and as PMO leader before becoming an independent consultant.  

As consultant he advised portfolio companies of Arle Capital Partners, Advent International and 3i and acted as Project Manager for Fokker Services to implement the Rusada´s Envision system within Redelivery Services. Freek holds a BSc in Engineering from Hogeschool Utrecht and an MSc Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam and is trained as LeanSix Sigma Black Belt.

Toby Tucker is a Portfolio Director for SITAONAIR. He is responsible for the product strategy on EFB,  CrewTab & Aircraft Data products including the successful market introduction and operational readiness of future products. Most recently Toby has been designing a suite of new services that aim to solve the data capture and distribution requirements for the connected aircraft.

He brings with him extensive experience in general management and business development, as well as in-depth knowledge of airline operational processes & systems. Accomplishments at SITA & SITAONAIR include the development of a web based Flight Planning solution, the introduction of an FMS Wind service promoting better fuel efficiencies to aircraft in-flight plus the set up and deployment of SITA’s EFB solution.

Before joining SITAONAIR, Toby worked in the Royal Air Force in Air Traffic services.
