Regulators Keynote: EASA crackdown on Aviation IT systems, how proposed regulatory changes will impact software and technology in Flight Ops and MRO
Following its regulatory process for publication of new regulations, EASA is scheduled to implement several new regulations that will be directly aimed towards regulating the usage of software and systems within flight operations and aircraft maintenance and engineering. Airline Case study: Air France - Automating manual QAR collection
This case study provides an insight on the collaboration between Air France and SITAONAIR for the development of e-Aircraft Datacapture. Replacing manual procedures, the solution works as a managed services on existing AIDs by collecting, compressing and encryting an aircraft's Quick Access Recorder (QAR) or Digital ACMS Recorder (DAR) data, and is automatically securely transmitted to a ground server provided by SITAONAIR based on configurable triggers. The complete data is then sent to Air France's data analysis system for immediate analysis.
