Since the company’s founding in 2003, navAero has been at the leading edge of Portable EFB technology and has helped the commercial aviation industry define the standards and desired architecture of provisioning solutions for hardware and connectivity technology.

navAero iPad/Tablet EFB Systems represent a generic technical solution for the deployment of various types of tablet devices. The solution is comprised of several component parts that, when combined into various configurations, allows for cockpit use of virtually any commercially available COTS generic tablet computer device in all phases of flight to meet a modern airline’s operational needs.

The strength of navAero iPad/Tablet EFB solutions lays in the adaptability, flexibility and upgradeability of our system architecture and the design of our component parts. The systems have been designed to grow and adapt as customer needs evolve. If there is a need to change to a device with a different footprint or connector, the navAero solution can accommodate the change with minimal impact to aircraft downtime and cost.

navAero has commercialized iPad/Tablet EFB Systems that are available in three different versions: mount only, mount with certified connectivity to aircraft power, and mount with certified connectivity to aircraft power and connectivity to aircraft ARINC 429/717 data busses and discretes which is facilitated through the navAero Universal Aircraft Interface Device. And to compliment our EFB products, navAero also offers a variety of ancillary products such as: t▪Cam™ Video Surveillance System with custom view, record and image-capture software; t▪Com™ WiFi and Cellular Communications Module, t▪Server™ Aircraft Network File Server, and more.

All navAero EFB hardware technology has been designed and manufactured to meet the rigorous requirements for business, commercial and military aircraft installations, and is built with modular flexibility that allows it to be easily fitted into virtually any aircraft type. All components meet or exceed certification requirements and all applicable DO-160 levels.
