Felix studied Business Economics and Information Technologies in Hamburg, Germany and Newcastle, Australia.

He joined Lufthansa Industry Solutions in 2012 and worked in different technical documentation projects in aviation. He focused on usability aspects on how to use technical documentation in both cabin and cockpit environments. Felix was also responsible for designing two applications in the DocManage Suite.

With particular attention to the transition process to a paperless cockpit, he is excited to conclude the very last step by creating and introducing an electronic Quick Reference solution.

Renco Beunis joined SkyNRG in 2015 and is Operations Manager within the Supply & Operations team. He is responsible for all global sustainable aviation fuel logistics and procedures, from biorefinery up to delivery at airports and if necessary fuelling into-wing. For this he and his team set up both short and long-term supply chains to any location in the world. Quality control is an important aspect in this, Renco ensures the biofuel complies to latest ASTM D7566, D1655, DefStan 91-091 and/or AFQRJOS standards.
 
SkyNRG is a Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) certified operator and always ensures truly sustainable biofuel. Therefore, Renco performs a Life Cycle Analysis for all supply chains, using RSB’s calculation methodologies.
 
He’s also an ASTM member and participates in ASTM D02 committee meetings for development of new alternative jet fuel production pathways.
 
Renco studied Life Science and Technology at the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, and has a Master’s degree in Biochemical Engineering.

Sander de Moor has 30+ years' experience in flight operations support within all sectors of aviation.  He has particular expertise in Flight Operations Efficiency, specialising in fuel and operational efficiency strategies. He was a core member of the IATA Green Teams for two years and helped shaped that program; subsequently he has held the position of Fuel Efficiency lead at LOT Polish Airlines (2 years) and the Etihad Airways Group (4 years). Before establishing his own consultancy. Apart from efficiency program management, Sander has extensive experience in managing RFP and implementation processes with FMIS tools across group airlines.

Ian Gilbert started in the aerospace business in 1967 as an apprentice with BEA. After gaining his degree he was involved with the development and introduction of the first auto-land and FMS systems as a Development Engineer with British Airways. In 1980 he moved on to Bendix Aerospace later becoming Director Technical Services Europe, Middle East and Africa for Honeywell Aerospace. Since leaving Honeywell in 2007 he has worked as an independent consultant and expert witness specialising in data link, FANS, ADS-B and SatCom/connectivity. Representing Spectralux Avionics Ian is working closely with the European agencies on the DLS Recovery Plan. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

Joachim holds a Bachelor of Science in Operational Engineering (Aviation) combined with a former IT education. In his current role he enjoys to combine daily operations with future development and opportunities to implement and improve IT environments.

He played an active role in the project team of implementing Mission Support within SWISS, a 24/7 inflight support dispatch service.
More recently he was nominated to lead the development of a dynamic slot management solution, in cooperation with Sabre Airline Solutions.

Guido Harling is the founder and executive director of ETSverification GmbH, the verification body for the aviation industry. He holds a bachelor of science (Dipl. Chem. Ing.) and a master of business (Dipl. Wirt. Ing.) degree. Furthermore, he is IRCA accredited ISO 9001, 50001 auditor and ISO 14065 greenhouse gas verifier. Guido started his career in North America where he worked for KPMG US specializing in ERP systems for airlines and airports. Since 2005 he has been managing projects in the aviation and transportation area as a subject matter expert and partner for IATA. In 2009, with the emerge of EU-ETS he first helped operators to design and implement ETS conform monitoring concepts. In 2010 Guido Harling started ETSverification GmbH, Germany’s first and only DAkkS accredited verification body dedicated solely to the aviation industry. ETSverification GmbH offers verification services within the framework of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme and the company is accredited all EU member states.  Since 2014 he is IATA trained ACC3 validator and expert for aviation cargo security processes and he is GHG reduction expert and accredited verifier under the ACA Airport Carbon Accreditation Scheme. Since 2017 ETSverification GmbH is also accredited for the verification of GHG from maritime transport. Currently ETSverification GmbH is helping Switzerland to verify tkm monitoringplans under the Swiss ETS Ordinance.

Martin Harrison, a Vice President at ICF in London, has been serving the aviation industry for more than 30 years.

As a consultant, he works with clients around the world on operations projects that span ground, airport, maintenance, customer service, fuel conservation, crew planning and safety management systems.

He has a deep understanding of the low-cost carrier business model as well as regional and hub operations.

Prior to joining ICF in July 2012, Martin was the Chief Operating Officer at Pluna Airlines in Uruguay, working on a restructuring program for the South American flag carrier. He has also held executive operational positions at Spirit Airlines in the United States and easyJet Airlines in Europe.

Martin started his career at British Airways in hands-on maintenance and then engineering roles before moving on to Total Engine Support Ltd. in the United Kingdom, providing consultancy services that were focused on engine asset management.

Martin holds an MSc from Bristol University and an MBA from IESE in Spain.

In his current position, as Head of the ICAO and Concepts Unit, Mr. Hof is responsible for the contribution of the EUROCONTROL Agency to ICAO and for strategic initiation and facilitation on Concept development.
 
Henk J. Hof started his professional carrier in 1985 as policy advisor on Communication, Navigation and Surveillance matters for the Dutch ATC authorities. He was member of the Dutch delegation for the ICAO FANS I and II committees and member of a number of ICAO Panels.
 
In 1991 Mr. Hof joined the EUROCONTROL Agency where he started as Project Manager responsible for the standardisation and implementation of the Aeronautical Telecommunication Network (ATN).
As Head of the Master Plan Maintenance Unit and Leader of the SESAR Master Plan Work Package, he was responsible for the development and maintenance of the European ATM Master Plan; the strategic plan for the evolution of European ATM.
 
Mr. Hof is the EUROCONTROL member and the chairman of the ICAO ATM Requirements and Performance Panel (ATMRPP) and chairman of the ICAO Global Aeronautical Distress and Safety System (GADSS) Advisory Group.  The GADSS Advisory Group maintains the GADSS Concept of Operation and guides GADSS related developments.

Gerrit Jassnowski is currently employed with Lufthansa CityLine as Team Leader for Airframe & Systems Engineering.

He began his career as an aircraft maintenance engineer at Lufthansa in Frankfurt in 1990. In 1993 he moved to Augsburg Airways and 1997 to Lufthansa CityLine in Munich. There he achieved the EASA CAT A/B2 license for the regional jets AVRO, Bombardier and Embraer. After several stations in line maintenance he completed 2014 his bachelor degree in professional aviation and became team leader in the MCC where he led 16 employees.

In 2016, he become responsible for the project for implementation of paperless maintenance and ELB. The official project start was the beginning of 2017 and the target is the implementation at the end of the year.

In 2017, he completed his master's degree in technical management and joined the engineering as a team leader. Here he led the team responsible for aircraft systems and structure for the CityLine regional fleet.

After five years of flying an Airbus A320 for Lufthansa as Co-Pilot, he upgraded to Lufthansa’s long-haul fleet Boeing 747, where he is until now a Senior First Officer. Carson is a product manager at Sabre working on the Flight Management team.  He has over 10 years of experience building, implementing, and optimizing technology products.  At Sabre he has led initiatives to improve customer adoption, satisfaction, and recently completed a beta project to show en-route weather to pilots on a tablet.  He is currently responsible for the Flight Explorer solution and works with airlines to develop new features to improve the flight tracking solution.  Prior to joining Sabre he worked as a management consultant at ECG where he advised healthcare organizations on optimizing their electronic health record systems.

He was leading the In-Flight Weather Project, which focused on the integration of up-to-date weather information into the Lido eRouteManual. Having laid the foundation for the integration of weather information into the Lido eRouteManual, he is now looking for further products (weather and non-weather information) to add to the eRouteManual. Despite that Oliver Matz is figuring out ways, how to use an Avionic-connected EFB to calculate EDR Turbulence Data and exchange it via Inflight-Connectivty in realtime with a database containing worldwide realtime turbulence data.

Andrew is a pilot and instructor by trade. He flew for British Airways for 17 years where he was a Captain on B777 and Training Captain on B737. After leaving full time flying in 2007 Andrew worked for the UK CAA as a Flight Operations Inspector, then as Head of Training for a multi-national flight training company and then for EASA as Standardisation Team Leader for Air Operations. In 2015 Andrew established McKechnie Aviation LTD to assist Regulators, Aircraft Operators and Training Organisations to develop their management systems and comply with regulations and standards for fight operations and pilot training.
Andrew consults and provides training and consultancy to several national aviation authorities and is participating in current EASA rulemaking tasks on updates to pilot training the qualification requirements for instructors and examiners and the requirements for all-weather operations.

Andrew McKechnie has Master in Business Administration (MBA) and was a guest speaker in many aviation conferences across the globe.

His tasks comprise of building and running the new strategic department of Fuel Efficiency and managing worldwide punctuality. Bjorn is working on creating processes that guarantee a consolidated approach across the company concerning fuel efficiency, as well as developing new fuel efficiency ideas, cost savings strategies, implementing a Flight Ops Analyzer Tool to monitor real fuel flow and real fuel consumption and applying worldwide measures to improve punctuality.

Bjorn’s career with Lufthansa group started with his apprenticeship while studying for Master’s degree in Business and Commerce at University of Hagen and Frankfurt. His responsibilities within the company varied from brand evaluation, multilateral pricing, airport services and ground handling. The latter project was Bjorn’s latest position - the Head of Aircraft Ground Handling in Frankfurt within Lufthansa Cargo, where his responsibilities were to ensure safe, economic and optimal aircraft handling.

The Last 5 years Jens Pisarski has been Chief Operating Officer and Partner of IFS, the company behind the PFB Paperless Flight Bag software solution, providing a fully integrated Electronic Flight Bag solution aimed at business aircraft operators, regional / charter / cargo / scheduled airline operators, military operators as well as utility aircraft operators.
 

 Reid, Lauren

Lauren Reid works at the UK's national meteorological service, the Met Office, in Exeter, Devon. Lauren started work there as a scientist in 2005, taking up a key role in the applied science area, developing significant weather forecasting capabilities for the aviation industry.

In 2015, Lauren transitioned to the role of Business Development Manager within the Met Office’s Aviation team, to assist in developing science pull through for aviation customers from research into operations. Lauren has a great appreciation and understanding of the aviation community and works with a number of different stakeholders on consultancy projects in the UK and across Europe.

Finally, one of Lauren’s primary roles is championing all SESAR Deployment Manager activities across the Met Office. This includes working on topics such as 3D Radar over Europe for convection identification and now casting, Weather Hazards (turbulence, icing, convention and winter weather) service development and the MET-GATE, the method to be used by European MET providers to distribute data in a SWIM way.

Tobias joined the aviation industry in 2011 as First Officer on the Lufthansa German Airlines short-haul fleet after graduating in Aeronautical Engineering and Management in Bremen.

Since 2014, he works in the Cockpit Information Services Team of Lufthansa German Airlines with a focus on documentation and user communication. He designed the Lufthansa EFB Manual and prepared the transition to a comprehensive eOps Manual. Since November 2017, he also works as product owner for two EFB applications.

Driven by latest technology developments, combined with actual knowledge and experience as active pilot, Cockpit Information Services continue to contribute to improved safety, cost effectiveness and passenger comfort. Our goal is the best possible integration of aircraft and ground systems and the paperless cockpit.

Dr. Patrick Wipplinger has a doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on aviation technology and is currently the Chief Product Owner for Lufthansa Systems' product line Lido/Navigation.

During school, compulsory military service and his university time, Patrick worked as a flight dispatcher. After obtaining his master’s degree he was employed at the University of Darmstadt in Germany at the Department of Flight Mechanics and Control as a research scientist. His focus was research in the area of Synthetic Vision Systems (SVS). During this time he was also Flight Test Director on multiple Flight Test Campaigns as part of NASA’s Aviation Safety Program. He obtained his PhD degree for his research on pilot behavior during the conduction of High Approach Landing System/Dual Threshold Operations (HALS/DTOP) approaches down to CAT I at Frankfurt airport.

Patrick then continued on to Jeppesen, a Boeing Company, where he was a Senior Systems Engineer in Research and Development. His work led to the development of various data driven flight deck applications for Commercial and General Aviation at Jeppesen.

For the last 8 years Patrick has been with Lido/Navigation, where he initially led the development of Lido/AMDB and Lido/AMM. He then took on the role of Product Manager where he was responsible for Route Manual Charting Standards and its transition to dynamically rendered Maps from gate-to-gate. Today, Patrick leads Lido’s product strategy in his role as Chief Product Owner.

After a military career as a fighter pilot, in 2001 Dror joined Elbit Systems as an engineer to lead the Research and Development of new innovative commercial Enhanced Flight Vision System product line. Elbit’s EFVS products is the basis of the company latest greatest success in the diversification process that adds commercial aviation to the company customer base.

In 2011, Dror was appointed as the company Vice President for commercial aviation, as part of Elbit Aerospace division. Dror led the introduction of new EFVS technologies to business aviation, first time EFVS for commercial helicopter and the introduction of wearable HUD technology for the Air Transport market.

Dror holds a B.A. in Computer Science and an Executive MBA degree from Tel Aviv University. His piloting experience consist of 22 years of flying fighters, trainers and commercial airplanes.

Ferry is employed by KLM since 1986. Initially as flight crew instructor on different type of aircraft that were in operation at KLM. As from 2003 he is keeping the Operations Manuals, for KLM Cityhopper, up to date and in compliance with the EASA legislation and the IOSA Standards and Recommended Practices. For the last 18 months he was mainly occupied with the implementation of the Webmanuals system. The first 6 month were used for implementing the Operation Manuals and its links to the EASA and IOSA libraries. During the last year the remaining manuals and their links have been implemented. Many suggestions have been proposed to Webmanuals for improving the system. In the meantime updates in EASA and IOSA have been taken care of using the system.
