AviIT will be showcasing two of its industry-leading product solutions: eMan, a technical documentation and library management solution enabling users to access any electronic document or application from anywhere, over any network, using any device.
We will also be launching eManWeb, our new fully hosted version which provides all the features and benefits of eMan but without the capital expenditure requirements.
eMan and its fully hosted equivalent, eManWeb, have been developed to overcome the problems airlines, MRO's and other aircraft operators/maintainers face today. Managing large technical libraries, OEM applications and viewers, websites, regulatory sources, and other electronic documentation is a complicated, time-consuming, and costly effort for every maintenance organization. eMan provides a powerful system to easily control, manage and administer all electronic format documentation within a single, centralised environment. eMan enables any format of documentation to be accessed and viewed from any location, on any device, over any type of communications network via a simple to use and consistent user interface.
Archimedes is focused on converting ACARS data into useful management information and making this available instantly to ground staff in easily accessible formats. Most modern aircraft generate ACARS data but in many cases the output and display of this information is not easy to identify, understand or action by an operator. Using Archimedes for the capture, analysis and presentation of aircraft status and fault monitoring information can provide significant and quantifiable benefits to airlines. Archimedes enables all operational staff to have the most up to date and relevant information to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Some examples include:
• Maintenance teams: alerted to faults and problems immediately, enabling pro-active diagnosis and hence reducing delays
• Flight Ops departments: accurate operational times and automated flight logs, reducing crew workload
• Ground Ops departments: real-time information on aircraft position, enabling forward planning based on precise arrival times and hence reducing turn-round delays.
Archimedes can also be offered as a fully hosted service thereby removing the capital cost for dedicated hardware and software to be installed on the customer network. This option provides secure internet access to the customer’s ACARS data, while at the same time providing all the backend processing and data interchange requirements for ACARS automation. Using this “Software as a Service” model allows a customer to scale their Archimedes requirements to meet the demands of their business with minimal upfront investment.
