Craig Abela is a professional Standards and Technical Pilot qualified on Boeing 757/767/777/787 and Airbus A320 series aircraft.

Serving 15 years in the Royal New Zealand Air Force, mostly flying Boeing 757 aircraft; Craig’s resume includes: military Boeing 757 display pilot, Instructor, Heads of State Pilot and Antarctica project lead pilot (Captaining the first Boeing commercial airliner to conduct Antarctic operations).

Craig served 5 years with Air New Zealand as a jet recruiter and Standards pilot (instructor) on Boeing 777s and Airbus aircraft. He was recruited by Pacific Air Express Australia in 2017 as a Standards and Technical Pilot in order to lead them through the Australian Air Operators Certificate (AOC) process. Craig has set up the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) system for the Boeing 757 fleet, Required Navigation Performance (RNP) approvals and other associated flight technical approvals for global flight operations. The Australian AOC process was accomplished in December 2018.

Craig holds a Bachelor of Aviation amongst other military and civilian regulatory qualifications.

In nearly 40 years, Glen has gained a reputation for integrity, problem-solving, professionalism, depth of knowledge and perseverance. Starting in 1978 as a Royal Navy aircraft engineer, with fixed and rotary wing aircraft, he rose to manage the British Military’s first Aircraft Management System.

Glen joined Computer Science Corporation in 2000, working with GKN Westlands & Lockheed Martin UKIS to deliver MSSAS logistical solution for the Merlin, later working with Lockheed Aeronautics, managing an Asset Management tool supporting C130J assets for global users. He joined XL Airways in 2006 and implemented AMOS for three Group companies before, as a consultant, joining easyJet to assist their AMOS implementation.

Glen’s next project at BMI meant working on both MRO and Flight Operations solutions, and in the sale of the Airline. British Airways Next Generation project for the induction of the B787 and A380’s connected Aircraft followed, before, in 2013, moving to consult with Etihad Airways on their Entry into Service project. Having delivered an MRO Solution for the e-Enabled fleet plus built up and led a Technical Competency Center, Glen left Etihad Airways in 2017 for Europe and clients including Vueling Airways and Flybe.

Glen continues to apply, across a wide spectrum of aviation clients, his deep understanding of aircraft, component maintenance, e- Enablement, IT systems and problem-solving.

He started his career in aviation after graduating with a doctorate in Engineering from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland. During his time with BAE Systems, he moved with his family to Toulouse, France where he was involved in helping create the joint venture with ATR and BAE Systems.

Around 18 years ago, he created his own company, CoreData Limited, which focused on providing airlines, MROs, OEMS and aircraft supply chain companies with solutions that could help them drive value from the large amounts of data they were accumulating. CoreData was a successful venture and he finally sold the company to Rolls Royce. Since then he has been working with customers to improve efficiencies by using their own data and continues to do this with Ubisense.

Michael has 30 years’ experience in aviation industry. First as an air traffic control officer in the Royal Australian Air force, then a variety of roles in a 22-year career working for Qantas, including roles in Load Control, Flight Dispatch and Flight Dispatch Systems.
System analysis and development has consumed the last ten years of Michael’s career. Michael managed the Dispatch Systems business area and from here Championed the business case to replace an aging mainframe flight planning system.
Michael had various leadership roles in the numerous phases of the flight planning system replacement project. Much of Michael’s time and energy was spent as manager aeronautical information management for the flight planning future project in Qantas Flight Operations. This role was integral in pulling together the end to end flight planning solution.
As of August 2018 Michael, has taken up the new role of Manager Innovation and Support in Flight Operations overseeing the commissioning of the system and fleet roll out that culminated in the successful cutover of the final B737 fleet in June 2019.

Prior to joining Capgemini, Denis worked for various aviation consultancies, aerospace software companies and aviation business services companies. Denis began his career in the U.S. Navy as a gas turbine engineer and Surface Warfare Officer. He is also a renowned author, speaker and consultant on service lifecycle management capabilities, servitization business models and enabling technologies.
