He has been working for more than 10 years for Airbus where he managed mainly projects linked to the digital innovation. He started by the lead of the Airbus customer portal: AirbusWorld where all necessary services and documentation to operate Airbus aircrafts are hosted. He recently made a virtual and augmented reality training for maintainer; this project was done in co-innovation partnership with JAL. He built the concept and managed the Airbus Electronic Flight Bag based on iPad project, this game changer became in 2012 the first EFB with performance calculation based on iPad.

Recently retired from an A380 Command with a major carrier, Michael has been fortunate to gain a broad base of experience in the Airline, Corporate and General Aviation operations including training, system development and management positions. Michael's management experience within the Aviation Sector has included Strategic Planning and operational system development and Project Management across all industry segments. Michael has completed a Masters in Aviation Management, PRINCE2 Accreditation with the OGC London and Board Financial Management Certification. During the last 20 years Michael has been appointed to various roles within major airline operations, spending considerable time involved in strategic technology development within the global airline industry.

Michael is the founding Principal and Managing Director of Closed Loop Consulting, a niche team focussed on assisting airlines to strategically develop, financially justify and successfully implement a broad range of industry programs and mandates such as EFB, the Connected Airplane, GADDS and the forward components of SWIM and TBO strategies.

For 2 years he was a core member of the IATA Green Teams, helping to shape that program. He then developed further enhancements to these programs and processes to deliver successful Fuel Efficiency programs at various airlines where he was in charge of Fuel Efficiency, including LOT Polish Airlines (2011-2013), Etihad Airways (2013-2016), Air Serbia (2016) and Air Seychelles (2016). In recent years, he has worked with a leading Fuel Efficiency Software Vendor as an airline consultant and since 2017 in support of Efficiency & Performance topics on behalf of Aircraft Commerce Consulting. Paul has been working in the Information Technology (IT) field for the last 25 years. He joined ATSG, Inc in 2017 to assist the company with anticipated growth and expanding IT needs. After less than a year, he was promoted to Director of IT. In the past two years, Paul has focused on process improvement while establishing and maintaining business relationships between the IT department and the 7 major business units. Most recently, he spearheaded the implementation of the IFS Maintenix software program. Paul helped transform two airlines and a leasing company from two separate legacy systems to one instance of Maintenix. One of the most complicated implementations ever undertaken by IFS. Paul’s experience, decisiveness, and ability to work closely with all levels of the organization helped bring this project to completion in 22 months.

Prior to ATSG, Paul spent 10 years with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) managing major customer accounts (GM and Xerox) where he had a history of improving customer satisfaction, cutting costs, ensuring compliance, upgrading technology and decreasing error rates. Paul then moved to IBM serving US and global accounts in various sectors including legal services, consumer products, financial institutions, manufacturing, medical and beverage distribution.

Martin Harrison, a Vice President at ICF in London, has been serving the aviation industry for more than 30 years.

As a consultant, he works with clients around the world on operations projects that span tech ops, ground ops and flight ops.

Prior to joining ICF in July 2012, Martin was the Chief Operating Officer at Pluna Airlines in Uruguay and he has also held executive operational positions at Spirit Airlines and easyJet Airlines.

Martin started his career at British Airways in hands-on maintenance and then engineering roles before moving on to Total Engine Support Ltd. in the United Kingdom, providing consultancy services that were focused on engine asset management.
Martin holds an MSc from Bristol University and an MBA from IESE in Spain.

Mr. Louis J. Hogge is the Engineering Flight Chief of the 416th Supply Chain Management Squadron (416 SCMS), 748th Supply Chain Management Group, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The Group is assigned to the 448th Supply Chain Management Wing, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The 416 SCMS provides sustainment and support of depot repairable commodities for the F-16, A-10, and T-38. Mr. Hogge is responsible for engineering management and technical direction of the Squadron (more than 160 assigned personnel, 40 engineers) including all engineering sub-functions; avionics systems, mechanical/structural systems, and support equipment.

Mr. Hogge has performed in many technical positions through his career including Avionics Engineer in the F-16 System Program Office (SPO), Systems Engineer of secure satellite data links for L3 Communications, disposable diaper production line engineer for Kimberly Clark, Electronic Technician in the Ogden depot, Equipment Specialist in the F-4 SPO, flightline avionics Air Reserve Technician (ART) in the 419th TFW.

Mr. Hogge started his Air Force Career as an enlisted flightline avionics technician. After 6 years and 5 Permanent Change of Station (PCS) he separated from the Air Force and worked as an electronic test technician on the Trident and Space Shuttle solid rocket motor programs. Mr. Hogge returned to serve in the USAF Reserve (USAFR) first as an ART and then as a traditional reservist. He supported many USAFR deployments including several stints in support Operation Northern Watch. One notable distinction in his AF military career was the award of the AF Commendation Medal to A1C Hogge for designing and building a flightline tester and breakout box for the A-10 Stability Augmentation System. Mr. Hogge retired from the USAFR in 2001.

Mr. Hogge graduated Cum Laude from the University of Utah in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. In 2012 he graduated from the Air Force Institute of Technology with a Master of Science in Systems Engineering. The MSSE thesis topic was Effective Measurement of Reliability of Repairable USAF Systems.

Bruce Jackson, BS, MA, is President of Air Informatics® LLC. In the area of e-Enabled Aviation, Bruce has worked with the largest private business jet operators, many of the US and international airlines, including Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Kenya Airways, Royal Jordanian Airways and many of the aircraft manufacturers including Boeing, Bombardier Aerospace, and Gulfstream. Air Informatics was invited by the U.S. Department of Commerce to participate in the Cyber Security and Aerospace Missions to the Near East, 2017 and North Africa, 2018.

Bruce and his Air Informatics team has worked extensively in the digital e-Enabled aircraft domain. Air Informatics has addressed issues regarding data and cyber security for e-Enabled aircraft such as the Boeing 787 and 737Max, Airbus A350 and A320NEO, Gulfstream 650, and GV, and Bombardier Global 5000 and 6000 aircraft. Air Informatics has tackled passenger IFE performance and privacy, aircraft connectivity, informatics, analytics, big data, and cyber security. Solutions included management, analysis and cyber security of loadable software part delivery, security logs, Airplane Health Management data, ground cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity and data transfer, aircraft and ground operational and security architectures and system. Bruce has developed Cyber Security Frameworks and Airplane Network Security Programs for several airlines, conducted aircraft systems and passenger cabin cyber security vulnerability assessment and cyber security penetration testing for commercial airliners and large cabin business jets. Air Informatics has developed tools for and conducted analysis of aircraft security logs, loadable software aircraft part management and delivery and Airplane Health data. Bruce raised the issue of data ownership over six years ago and has filed briefs on the matter with the US Government.

Prior to forming Air Informatics, Bruce was the wireless designer for the Boeing 787 Core Computing Architecture and considered an expert in the field. He has extensive experience with In-Flight Satellite and Wi-Fi Connectivity and was a Principle Investigator for the NASA Advanced Communication Technology Satellite (ACTS) where he integrated Wi-Fi data deliver into Ka / Ku band spot beam architecture. While on contract with the airlines he directly measured In-Flight Entertainment Wi-Fi performance to every passenger device and data component in the cabin.
Additionally, Bruce is the founder and President of EMSAT: Advanced Technology for Emergency Medical Services, a 501c3, non profit corporation. EMSAT is dedicated to improving prehospital emergency patient care, syndromic surveillance and the detection of emerging infectious disease through the use of advanced and emerging health informatics. EMSAT’s efforts included the demonstration of a prehospital emergency medical, emerging disease and public health response network.

In a former role, as a senior manager for Pfizer Global Infrastructure Architecture he was responsible for the Mobile Technology Strategy and Road Map. He was a past member of the Cellular Telephone and Internet Association, a member of their Wireless Internet Caucus and CIO Wireless Advisory Board.

Bruce’s professional experience also includes Lead Systems Engineer and Systems Lead Mission Controller for real time flight operations of the Voyager Spacecraft during the Uranus and Neptune Planetary encounters and the first phase of the Voyager Interstellar Mission. Prior to his work at NASA JPL, he was at the Lockheed Skunk Works in which he was flight-testing classified military aircraft. Bruce also worked in the development of wireless ad hoc mobile data networks for battlefield electronic warfare and intelligence.

Mr. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, a Masters of Arts in BioMedical Informatics from Columbia University (a joint program with the Graduate School of Arts and Science and the College of Physicians and Surgeons), and completed additional graduate work at the Columbia University, Graduate School of Business.

He was also singularly responsible for initiating the design and development of the next-generation MRO, line-maintenance, materials management, and maintenance-program planning ERP solutions now successfully marketed under the FleetCycle® brand.

He has been ahead in his field by introducing mobility and cloud-based technologies into the aviation-maintenance marketplace. These two innovations equip airlines and MROs with the time and power needed to focus more fully on the core competencies they now use to keep their and their customers' aircraft in the air and generating revenue.

Dinakara is a highly-respected information-based subject matter expert in the disciplines of enterprise workflow, maintenance document authoring/tracking, maintenance planning, configuration management, line maintenance, production control and non-routine management. He has used this wealth of experience to procure patent protection for multiple products and has been awarded two US patents for his MRO and line maintenance software solutions.

Prior to joining EmpowerMX, he worked for 16 years in IT management and as an independent consultant to several major airlines in the areas of product and process development. He has held key leadership and management positions at EDS Industry's Airlines Solutions subsidiary and as a research engineer at the India Institute of Technology in Bombay.

In nearly 40 years, Glen has gained a reputation for integrity, problem-solving, professionalism, depth of knowledge and perseverance. Starting in 1978 as a Royal Navy aircraft engineer, with fixed and rotary wing aircraft, he rose to manage the British Military’s first Aircraft Management System.

Glen joined Computer Science Corporation in 2000, working with GKN Westlands & Lockheed Martin UKIS to deliver MSSAS logistical solution for the Merlin, later working with Lockheed Aeronautics, managing an Asset Management tool supporting C130J assets for global users. He joined XL Airways in 2006 and implemented AMOS for three Group companies before, as a consultant, joining easyJet to assist their AMOS implementation.

Glen’s next project at BMI meant working on both MRO and Flight Operations solutions, and in the sale of the Airline. British Airways Next Generation project for the induction of the B787 and A380’s connected Aircraft followed, before, in 2013, moving to consult with Etihad Airways on their Entry into Service project. Having delivered an MRO Solution for the e-Enabled fleet plus built up and led a Technical Competency Center, Glen left Etihad Airways in 2017 for Europe and clients including Vueling Airways and Flybe.

Glen continues to apply, across a wide spectrum of aviation clients, his deep understanding of aircraft, component maintenance, e- Enablement, IT systems and problem-solving.

His career in aviation kicked off in 1984 after graduating from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Law. With his family’s extensive background in the military Dan realized aviation was his passion, not law. So rather than continuing to Law School, he was commissioned as an Officer in the Air Force and began training as a Navigator, later specializing in Electronic Warfare in B-52’s.

After Desert Storm, and with their 1st child on the way, Dan and his wife decided it was time to try something new. Dan joined Empire Airlines team in 1992 as an Aircraft Dispatcher, rising to become the Manager of Dispatch a little over a year later. During his tenure with Empire he has been involved in all aspects of the Operations side of the house. From Dispatch and Crew Scheduling, to Security, Travel, and Records. Selection and implementation of new software programs for operations, EFB’s, along with the challenge of integrating and bringing new system and aircraft online, have kept the job interesting and fun.

Hugh has now been working within the Aerospace sector for more than 30 years. He recently moved to Ubisense to help them focus on the Aerospace sector. Ubisense have more than 900 customers across many sectors and have been influential at implementing Industry 4.0 in many of their existing customers. Prior to joining Ubisense, Hugh has consistently been working with aerospace companies helping them become more efficient through using their own data more effectively.

He started his career in aviation after graduating with a doctorate in Engineering from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland. Initially he working for British Aerospace who at the time manufactured small commercial commuter aircraft. During his time with BAE Systems, he moved with his family to Toulouse, France where he was involved in helping create the joint venture with ATR and BAE Systems.

Around 18 years ago, he created his own company, CoreData Limited, which focused on providing airlines, MROs, OEMS and aircraft supply chain companies with solutions that could help them drive value from the large amounts of data they were accumulating. CoreData was a successful venture and he finally sold the company to Rolls Royce. Since then he has been working with customers to improve efficiencies by using their own data and continues to do this with Ubisense.

Bruno Speck is an aviation professional with 30 years of experience in the industry. He started his career as a military pilot in the Swiss Air Force before transitioning to the Airbus A320 with Swissair. He later became commander on the A320 and A330. Today he flies as Captain and Type Rating Instructor on the A320 for Edelweiss Air and serves as Deputy Nominated Person Fight Operations. Bruno holds a Bachelor of Arts in law of the University of Zurich and still flies the F-5 “Tiger” fighter jet as a reserve officer.

Bruno leads the Flight OPS Support and Engineering team within Edelweiss Air and is responsible for the Electronic Flight Bag and the regulatory compliance of the relevant operation manuals.
